I'm am a 19yo female and have been on this message board before for syringomyelia questions. I have gone through three surgeries since Dec. 99 for the syringomyelia and now I am going in for surgery again on the 31 of May. My right arm constantly feels like I am hitting my funny bone and I have severe tingling in my right hand. The tingling and pain increase when I bend my head forward. So, I had a myelogram done, and it showed that my spinal cord is "tethered". I don't quite understand this, but I guess it means my spinal cord is attached to the outer membrane and surrounding tissues by scar tissue. So my doctor said I need surgery again to fix it. I can't find anyone who has had this surgery or problem and am very concerned about losing the rest of the minimal feeling I have in my legs. I am SCARED! Anyone with any info please respond.
