: Does anyone take this anti-inflammatory for spondylolisthesis? The doctor that prescribed it for me said i have arthritis in my low back but two other doctors, one prior to this dude, eight years ago and another recent doc tell me i have spondylolisthesis. Wondering if naprosyn is only for arthritis or if it will help the pain I have as the result of spondyl... Also, does anyone know if it naprosyn causes weight gain? Any info appreciated. :)
Naprosyn is a Anti Inflammatory it's the same as Aleve and Advil just a bit stronger. It will help with some of the pain but not much. I have spondylolisthsis too and I take the Ibuprofen 800mg for the pain and I Sometimes have to be put of a small coruse of steroids called Decadron for 7 days so it can calm the nerve down. That helps with the pain too but has a lot of side effects.Naprosyn don't casue weight gain. But you should take it with food so it don't upset your stomach.
