: : My sister has alot of pain the doctor says she has got a spur in her lower spinal cord what should she do about it she has took medicine and is still on medication but what other health alternatives do you have.
: Hi there. How old is she? I am 33 and have almost the same problem. I have osteoarthritis and bone spurs at C5,6, and 7. I have tried the relaxants, anti inflammatories, etc. Please have her see an ortho surgeon. Regular doctors and chiros are no help. This does not get better on its own. I know, been going through it a long time. She could try the epidural but it is not a long lasting effect, only temporary. Surgery is usually a we want to avoid situation with most doctors, or lets see what happens. Don't take a shrug off from them. Maybe PT may work, maybe not. Its a hard one, and I am still trying to figure out what I will do. Goodluck.
