I have posted numerous messages concerning my injury and circumstances. Today I would like to recommend a person that could provide inspiration. That person is Lance Armstrong. No he didn't have a SCI but is challenge was greater that what I am going through. He fought cancer. Who is Lance Armstrong? He is the professional cyclist who won the Tour De France last year. Why am I talking about this here? He over came a 40% survival rate not an adjustment to disability. He had cancer from his brain to lungs to his groin area at 25 years old. Not only did he fight back and become a top performer in his profession, he started a foundation for curing cancer..he became a hero in the true sense of the word. He is a man with character that would compare to any in the last 100 years. He will start his second run at the Tour De France next month. But the message here is to read about his story and gain strength from what you read. I truely believe in emulating not only successful people but people who overcome the odds. Good Luck! Happy 4th July.
