I am interested in opinions on what my next course of action should be about these results. Have an appointment with a Neurosurgeon already.
The following is the radiologists report on the MRI:

"The study is of good technical quality.

The study is abnormal. The cervical lordosis is reversed. There is evidence of wide spread cervical disc degeneration and desiccation, most marked at C4-5,C5-6, and to a lesser extent at C6-7. The intervertebral disc at the C5-6 level proyudes posteriorly, to the left, distorting the dorsal nerve roots, with most of the free disc and/or disc fragment oriented laterally toward the region of the neural foramina. Similar, but less dramatic disc bulging evident at the C4 level.

At C5-6, the thecal sac is somewhat flattened. Cervical cord normal. No syrinx. Small anterior extradural defects C3-4 and C4-5 from mild disc bulging.
IMPRESSION: Herniated C5-6 intervertebral disc posteriorly, and to the left, into the region of the left neural foramina with C5-6 nerve root edema. Moderate bulging C4-5 and to a lesser extent C3-4 discs."
