: : : : : I was recently diagnosed with biforaminal stenosis at L5S1 and a ddd. I would like to know if anyone has had their stenosis taken car of and what procedure they had.
: : : : : Thanks
: : : : Mike,
: : : : I was also recently diagnosed. Mine is 3 discs however L3-4 L4-5 and L5-S1. My doctor wants to do discectomy and forminectomy to all three.
: : : : Long recovery. Curious to see if anyone has had this done also and how they feel.
: : ::I have herniated disks at L4 and L5 and I also have bone growth in the same area that is closing up the spinal canal. I have taken physical therapy, but this did not have any lasting affect. I too would be interested in hearing from anyone who as been diagnosed with the same type problem.
I've had backpaid for 5 years. Did physical therapy and back classses but nothing worked. Finally an MRI found a herniated disc at L5S1 with severe stenosis. Had a laminectomy on 7 Jun at a military medical facility in the DC area. Still have pain today, but I feel a big difference in numbness and tingling.
