I also have congenital cervical stenosis in C4-C6. I am 20 and very active. I was told about 4 years to give up all sports but basketball is part of me. Everytime I play, I end up in pain for hours or days. Mostly pain throughout my neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Now i can't look up or down without feeling pain. I will continue to play, but need help with the pain. Here are my questions, Does congenital stenosis get worse with age? Is there much of a chance of paralysis? Any medication help? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. please email me at lukewadley@hotmail.com
