: I had a double fusion, L4-5 L5-S1 on 6/4/99. After 8 months of continious pain--I had a refusion on 3/17/00. I am so much worse! I have pain in my right hip and pelvis area. Another MRI, My doctor said I have a hip problem! I did not have this pain until after my second surgery. Has anyone had similar problems? Some input would be greatly appreciated. Mary- I have had similar problems. I have had to spine surgeries. After my first spine surgery one of my screws broke. I had extreme pain in my left hip. The Doctors couldn't agree to what it was. Although I had hip surgery, 9 days later they found a broken screw. I then had a second spine surgery through me stomach and back. Longer rods and more screws. I feel your pain. Don't let them tell you there is nothing wrong. I still have hip pain. Sometimes I can't sleep at night. I have alot of pain in my right hip now. I walk everyday. If I don't walk the pain is worse. Good luck. I hope they help you! I have learned to live with the pain. Some days are better than others.
