I just want to say that i had spinal stenosis at 17, and it was over a month ago since the surgery. I feel great, and am so happy. I had a lamnectomy of L4,5 which is the most common procedure. After the surgery it was hard to get in and out of cars, but with everybodys support i had alot of help with things around the house too. Mostly i was so sore which that will last awhile. Plus, you could say im still recovering, and today is the first day im driving. But the results i had have made me a new person. WOO HOO! I was scared to death as well, but all the postive people on this board helped me with the questions and let me know what could be expected. Someone summed it up as "a piece of cake" and it really was. So, we can chat further firstname.lastname@example.org or please read all the other messages, they're really helpful. Good luck.
