: Neurontin!!! It helps nerve pain.
: I started taking it and was able to wean myself away from percocet for awhile.
: The thing to do is consult your Dr about doing something. Thanks to Mace and P D Crowe for the meds infomation. Discussed them with my Internist yesterday. May be trying them after I see my Ortho MD tomorrow. Have had my MRI and it shows "multilevel spondylotic disc disease and uncovertebral joint hypertrophy most pronounced at C5-6 and C6-7 where there are moderate degrees of central stenosis. There is no focal cord deformity. Also "moderate left-sided foraminal stenosis at C6-7 secondary to combination of uncovertebral joint hypertrophy and facet joint arthrosis, suggest correlation to exclude left C7 radiculopathy." Hopefully I will understand all of this after my appointment tomorrow.
Until two weeks ago I was a 70 year old Dental Hygienist working 3 days a week and loving every minute of it, and a so-so golfer loving that too. Now I will be getting 2nd 3rd opinions and wondering if I will ever be reasonably pain free , back to work and swinging a club again? Can anyone out there give me any encouragement?
Your messages have been a real eye-opener this past two weeks. I am shocked to learn of so many folks who have such terrible problems in so many age ranges. To all, you are in my thoughts and prayers. No doubt some of you will helping me get through this problem. Thanks
