himy name is paul i had severe serivical stenosis in 1990.i had surgury on c-3 c-4 c-5 c-6.i was in alot of pain and had numbness in my arms hands weakness in my legs.my surgury was at the new england babptist hospital in boston.i was in more pain after the surgury. pain meds didn.t help that much. finally i went into physial theropy 5 days a week 5 hours a day for 3 months.it was very intense and painfull, but when it was all over i finally felt better. i still have some pain in my neck and left arm. but it not nearly as bad as it was.i stretch my arms and legs and neck every day to keep them loose that helps to miminize the pain also. i use a cold compress on my neck to help it from swelling up to much.
