: Hi all - I will be having surgery next week on Thursday (October 5th) to have L4-5 and L5-S1 fused, using BAK cages. Can anyone who has had this procedure give me info on recovery - such as: how long in hospital, how long till they could drive, how much pain, how long did you have to use walker or cane, how long till you were able to do most things you could before surgery, etc. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
had the same surgery 2years ago not to scare you but I have still have not not recovered mostly the fault of the surgeon he overstreched my nerves during the procedure so now I have constant pain in my back and legs the morphine and neuroten help a little just make sure you have a good reputable surgeon make sure he or she does not have alot of pending lawsuits like my surgeon had. good luck
