Thank you for reading, Caroline Dear Caroline, I was on Fentanyl after my spine surgery by pump. It didn't take my pain away, but it did irritate my Central Nervous System. I was unable to relax or sleep and got nervous ticks from it. They finally stopped it. I was also on Neurontin for the nerve damage I have from my spinal problems and surgeries. (100 mg 2x/day) Neurontin made me hurt worse. I could not lay, sit, sleep or even stand. This medication was supposed to help with my nerve pain, yet it seemed to aggrivate it worse. I don't really know anything about SSD. I don't work anymore because of my disabilities, but I also never applied for SSD. I had always heard it very hard to get. I did had Spondylolysis with positional spondylolistheses and had 2 surgeries to repair. Hope some of this info helps you.
