I also get migraines. Just diagnosed with cervical spondylosis C3-C6. I am going to have injection of sterioids to manage pain before I consider having surgery. From the messages I have read it does not seem people have mentioned doing this prior to surgery. An anesthesiologist will due this in our pain management center at local hospital. Then if the swelling/irritation continues to be a problem i will investigate minimally invasive spinal surgery with use of laser. This is fairly new but they have been successful in both cervical and lumbar surgeries. I just read article from web on this and one of my friends (director of surgery) also told me to check this out before considering a fusion surgery. Just food for thought before we jump the gun in getting under a knife.
