: Howdy!! Well, I'm back. I entered the surgical ward at 10 am on Monday and they released me at 10 am on Tuesday. I had some difficulty swallowing, but other than that, it has not been very painful at all. I have only taken about 1/2 of the Percocette that they gave me for pain. My biggest problem is lower back pain. I have some arthritis there and the 3 days of laying around has made me very stiff. I have started getting very active to loosen up the muscles in my back. I went with my wife to the drugsstore, the hardware store, and the grocery just to get out and move around. I have also been using a heat pad on my back some. It is definitely getting better. I actually feel like I could go back to work next Monday if only I had an office job. So far, my hands still buzz occasionally, but it definitely feels better than before. So far, it has not been much worse than having all of your wisdom teeth pulled at the same time. I go back into the doctor on the 17th, so I will post an update on my progress after that. I feel really good about the surgery now. I wish the best for all of you! JoHn
>>>John,
How did your doctor visit go? I have been following your progress and wanted to let you know you have helped me so much in knowing what to expect with this kind of surgery. I am having this surgery due to spinal stenosis and a severely ruptured disc in the c-5/6 area of my neck on Tuesday, November 21. I started going numb all over and my arms and legs have been getting weaker and weaker. I am very much hoping to reverse some of these symptoms after the surgery. I notice you respond a lot to people who are having problems and try to give them some comfort and support which is a great thing to do. I hope you continue to do well!
