: HI I AM CURRENTLY SURVIVING 2 INJURIES. A BULGE IN MY DISC BETWEEN C5-C6 AND A ROTATOR OPERATION DECEMBER 1999. THE BULGE OCCURED IN 1998. I CONSTANTLY SUFFER FROM HEADACHES, LACK OF SLEEP. COULD THESE 2 BE REALTED TO EACH OTHER FROM THE FIRST INJURY? I AM IN CONSTANT PAIN. LAST DR'S VISIT HE TOLD ME I COULD NOT LIFT NO MORE THAN 25# PERMANTLY. NOW WORKMANS COMP AND THE PLACE I WORK WANT ME TO GO BACK FOR 1 MORE VISIT. I KNOW THAT I CAN'T PICK UP DUE TO THE FACT I CAN'T EVEN PICK UP MY GRANDDAUGHTER. IF I LIFT ANYTHING I AM IN REAL PAIN. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ANSWERS! THANKS HANNA

Hanna,

I hope you have already seen another doctor, or forced yours to take a harder look. I fell about 5 years ago, and threw out my arms to break my fall. Instead, one arm hit the counter and hung on, and I slid away from my own arm. I was in horrid pain, and even tho I kept telling the hospital staff my neck hurt, they checked out the shoulder and sent me home, arm in a sling. I spent the next seven months convinced that I had a broken neck, was in constant pain, depressed, and fearful of what would happen if I moved wrong. I supposedly was covered by workman's comp, but they were doing their best to ignore me. I did see another doctor (theirs) who said I could not possibly have caused the problems I said I had in the fall. I finally called a local rep for workman's comp, and she told them they either got me a good doctor, or she's get me a good lawyer. Very long story shorter....I have a fractured neck, and both rotator cuffs are shot. I live with pain that is controlled with a tens unit and pain pills. I cannot sleep in a regular bed anymore, and some days, like today, are very very bad. Please, push as hard as you have to, but make them do the MRIs to find out what is wrong where, and get the best rreatment they can find. Don't take no for an answer.
