I thinks I may smell a rat looking for as much $ out of me as possible before they "farm me out" to another doctor's office.

Go with your gut, If it smells like a rat, run. I would get away from that group and get a second opinion. I had a hernaited disc at c6-7 repaired I'm doing good, but it aint fun :). You want to be sure. Good luck.
