Hello, Im sorry to hear about your daughters troubles. I have SM myself my Syrinx is rather large ~C2-T8. For the longest time no one could tell me what was going on. I was first diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome....what a laugh. After a long quest with many Neurologists I have found one at University of Maryland that was able to sit down and explain whats happening to me and my body. As it stands now most of my problems are in my autonomic functions. I cant control body temperature or my blood pressure along with the usual symptoms pain and constant everlasting fatigue. Just a note from my experience I was up to 3600mgs of Neurontin myself for pain and I noticed it helped then the effects started to fade so dont be surprised if this occurs. I have also heard this from others. I am in the Baltimore/Washington area feel free to email me at jtesk@hotmail.com perhaps we can both benifit from our efforts that have been exerted so far in symptomology treatment for SM. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes to your family.
