: I had C6/7 cervical surgery done on 11/29/00 and as far as I know, my recovery has gone as well as expected so far. My Dr. used a bone bank for the fusion and from what I've heard, this avoided a great deal of pain to my hip. I still have some mechanical pain in my neck area that is of some concern. I have been without a collar for three days now. Wore soft collar after surgery for awhile. Has anyone else had this type of surgery? Is the neck pain I'm experiencing standard for this type of surgery after 15 days. I'm thinking about returning to work (Office Work)next week starting out with 1/2 days. Any feedback or advice would be appreciated.

Hello I had the same surgery in Sept. all has gone well. I have just lately started to have some pain in my right arm and shoulder. mostly when I over do it.
