: Hi, my name is Renee Jones and after fifteen years of complaining about pain and unusual symptoms I have finally been diagnosed with cerivcal spinal stenosis. The first unusual symptom I experienced was my head falling over. Soon after I found myself fighting through visual disturbances and dizziness. Over the last fifteen years I've experience everything from spontaneous vomiting (without warning from headache or upset stomach), to complete loss of control over my ability to move my leg or open my eyes.: My stenosis is at C4-5, C5-6, and C6-7; two of these areas are severe, one moderate but all with CSF obliteration, bludge, and herniation.
: Has anyone else out there experinced a floopy head due to cerical stenosis? My doctor says he has heard of such a thing but he wasn't all that assuring seeming more as if taking the "it's plausible" route. I know how plausible it is (thinking logically) but, to not be able to hold your head, to always need to lean against a wall or your hand takes all of your energy, makes you look lazy and rules your life. There's not much we do in life without the use of our neck muscles.
: The strange thing about all of this is that I've learned how to control my symptoms in part. The key is in living my life with as little stress as possible. Strange I say because the act of doing so is also stress inducing.
Renee-My spouse has the same thing going on with his head since he was 1 year old, he doesn't know if he was born with it or contracted it somehow, now he has scoliosis and is almost completely disabled, i wonder if this is related to his floppy-head
