I had an anterior spinal fusion done on October 5, 1999 even though I am still recuperating from the surgery I already feel 75% better. I have had backpain since 1979 , but the pain was getting increasingly worse, I will know for sure in about a month and after about 10 visits to physical therapy if it was all worth it (I hope so) but so far it looks like it. I would like to hear from others who also had this surgery.
