: Can anyone tell me if they have had surgery for this I just returned from a neurosurgeon and he told me to go to one of the University Hospital's in the area because they are equipped better for complications involving surgery, I am numb oin both hands tingely and I can not lift my arms over my head, I also have 2 lower crushed discs from a previous fall 5 years ago. I wold appreciate any info. I can get on this, am kinda scared. Thanks
Pat: This is scarey stuff! I've had two surgeries for severe cervical spondylosis with stenosis...The last one was this past July. They fused 3 levels with titanium fixation plates. I've had problems for many years, so I have faced the fact that I can never be 100%. I'm still having some problems since this last surgery, especially with lifting my arms, but I try to look at what's good and/or getting better. It's quite a surgery to go through, and you're usually in a hard collar for at least 6 weeks. Mine has just been a very slow process, but I think that's because I've had a problem for so long! It really all depends on what your problems are what the doctors plan to do for your case. Hang in there, and please let me know how you are doing...I understand what you must be going through! It helps to have someone to talk to!
