: : NOBLE, I AM 3 MONTHS POST-OP FROM CERVICAL SPINE FUSION FROM C4-C7 TWO LEVELS... I ALSO HAD PLATES/SCREWS INSTALLED BOTH ANTERIOR AND POSTERIOR.. I KNOW MY NEURO AT NYU MED CNTR PUT IN 3 PLATES TO STABILIZE THE DOUBLE FUSION... IF YOU WANT MORE INFO.. CONTACT ME OR POST ME HERE ON SITE .. I CAN TELL YOU LOTS OF INFO THAT THE SURGEONS SEEM TO FORGET!

: Patricia & Noble, I'm almost 4 months post-op from cervical spine fusion from c4-c7 three levels with the titanium plates and screws. I had a posterior laminectomy/formainotomy/etc. in 1995 with no lasting results. This fusion was done anterior. I really need someone who understands what this neck stuff is like!! I have suffered for 15 to 20 years with these problems, and this last fusion surgery in July sure has taken some big toll, as you probably know!! I'm in physical therapy, AGAIN, trying to get back to some level of "normal." I do not feel as though I can work any longer....I am having trouble doing too much of anything that most "normal" people are able to do. Please e-mail me or post something here. Sure need to share with somebody who's been there! THANKS.

Thomas: I know what you have been through. I had a
simular procedure in September of 1998, with titanium plates and screws. I have C3-C6 fused,
I also had a cervical disk removed between C6&C7
with bone grafts taken each time. I have been in
therapy for a long time so I know what your going
through. I had to fight to get any govt. assistance, I still have not returned to work.
I had the second surgury back in November of `99
I do have some excellent surgeon at MCO in Toledo
Ohio, I'm just waiting to see what happens next.
I am in constant pain, and I have developed
arthritis in the left leg, because of the bone grafts, and I'm only 32. I have had problems being
accused of being intoxicated when I do not even drink or use drugs other than prescription, has
anybody else had a simular experience? The public
can be really cruel...
