: : I was recently diagnosed with biforaminal stenosis at L5S1 and a ddd. I would like to know if anyone has had their stenosis taken car of and what procedure they had.
: : Thanks
: I was also recently diagnosed. Mine is 3 discs however L3-4 L4-5 and L5-S1. My doctor wants to do discectomy and forminectomy to all three.
: Long recovery. Curious to see if anyone has had this done also and how they feel.
My name is Stephen. I had a laminectomy done to L3 L4 and L5 and also had a discectomy done on L5. That was eleven weeks ago. My back is still in pain to this day, but I've been told that it takes at least four to six months to recover from this, but that when I do recover I'll feel great. Word of warning . . . avoid sitting in chairs lower than a toilet seat . . . trust me.
