: : : I have a bulged disc my symptoms are severe. Dr keeps saying that it's only a bulged disk,,as if i shouldn't be in this much pain (im confused)
: : I have a bulging disc at L4,but right now I don't have pain. But that doesn't mean you wouldn't have pain.I'm sure you can have pain with a bulging or herniated disc.I had a herniated disc at L5 and I could not hardly walk.I guess it depends on how bad it is.I have no doubt your in pain. It's sad that you should have to convince your doc. your in pain.Just keep insisting on that.good luck.Mary
: Mary - Did you have surgery (laminectomy) due to your L5 herniated disk. I did in January 99 as had massive nerve compression (L5/S1) and was in agony pre surgery. Probably the worst pain I ever had and I had spinal cord surgery in October 97 and was in Malibu brace for one year in a hospital bed. Please respond as would like to talk with youabout this! Scott in Maryland
