Hi, and I know what you are going thru. Panic attacks come from ourselves - our thoughts. Mostly negative or harmful due to fear or some type of anxiety by a triggered event. We actually build an adreline "rush" and since it has "no where to go" it results in a panic attack. In what kind of situation are you in when this feeling happens? Is in only in a certain time or does it happen whenever? Usually there are events that trigger these attacks. I have been in therapy for almost 3 years now becuase of a "fear of the road". I was in 2 car accidents (careless driving on the other people's part which left me w/terrible permanent back and neck and foot injuries) alsmost back to back. Over time since my own thoughts fed this fear that I would be the victim of another accident due to some a-hole I now only drive within a 5 mile radius. If I'm forced to be on any type of highway the results are drastic. I actually think that my heart will explode. Not to mention the "shakes, sweats, etc.". It's a horrible feeling. The say that the med Paxil helps. I haven't tried it but I think I'm going to have to. Driving within a 5 mile radius is not much of a life. Ask your doc about and see what he would recommend.
