I have been on Paxil for almost two months because of panic attacks and general anxiety. It has not cured me, but it has helped immensely. No more panic attacks, and I am able to rationalize my anxiety. I have not gained any weight, nor did I experience any severe side effects. The only things I mildly experienced were short bouts of hot flashes, one afternoon of nausea the day after I increased my dosage, I now take my paxil with supper. I believe it has really helped. I still have my phobias, but they don't swallow me whole. I can function fairly normally. I am in the process of finding some therapy to deal with my issues, but the physician feels I will probably be on the paxil for close to a year. Also, I have a severe objection to taking ANY meds, so I was very skeptical. But for me it has been great. You know, my only advice is try it. I was on Serzone about five and a half years ago and it did nothing. From all that I have read, you need to find the med that works for you. Good luck to you, and remember there is hope for us stressed out individuals.

: Was on Paxil for about 100 days, the Docs changed the dosages from 20-30-40 in that time. It stopped the Shakes and crying, but I gained about 20 pounds. Was NOT happy with that. Am now on Zoloft, Jury is still out on this one. Good luck to you.
