YES! I try to quit all the time and my anxiety increases each time I try. I know it is all in my head, though. I've made quiting smoking such a big deal that just thinking about quiting causes anxiety! But, I've been smoke free for about a week now, and although the anxiety is there, I'm doing better. The first three days are the worst though. Good luck to you, and hang in there!
