The problem may be in the cell membranes and secondary messangers.PS ,fish oil ,and SAM E all work on cell membranes.When the cell gets a brain signal ,it amplifies the signal with AMP and releases to much norpiniprine.This causes over stimulation of the hypotalmus whic sets off the panic responce.The US has 60 times the mental illness as does JAPAN where fish is consumed in large amounts.It may not be a serotonin shortage at all.
