: My mother is recuperating from a stroke and has made slow progress. The biggest problem she is dealing with now is a lack of appetite and depression. I would like to hear from anyone who has dealt with these symptoms. Thank You \
I had a stroke about 18 months ago and have suffered from depression since. I thought the symptoms were al "in my mind" until I heard a medical report on the news linking stroke to depression. I recently read a study on this on the web. The condition is called PSD Post Stroke Depression. The doctor prescribed Prozac which has helped me to cope. Perhaps medication could help your mother as well.
