My husband had a stroke 3 months ago which affected his left side - arm and leg. He is still in rehab, cannot walk alone or sit alone on the edge of a bed. has to have someone transfer him. Right now he seems to cry a lot and ofcourse wants to come home. What I would like to know is what is your experience with the reaction of a stroke victim to visitors around the holidays. I have been told that too much commotion may confuse him and cause him to "shut down", thus slowing his recovery. Do you agree with this? Our daughter wants to visit with her family and I don't know how to respond.
