My mother, Romona is a 71-year-old female who suffered a stroke 5 years
ago with left-sided paralysis. 2 years ago she developed intense pain,
which is mostly localized in her left groin. The pain seems to have
started after an internal bleeding episode caused by too much Coudadin.
Her doctors have diagnosed it as post stroke pain. She has tried the
following medicines with no help, often aggravating the pain or causing
extreme nervousness: Elavil, Neurontin, Tegretol, Mexilitine, and
Lamotrigine. Any other suggestions? She also takes Desyrel (sleep),
Buspar (anti-anxiety, necessary?), Baclofen (spasticity) and Coumadin
(blood thinner). She has a pacemaker. Her stroke was due to Atrial
Fibrillation . Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as her pain is
