: Hi, : New to the board - my father had a stroke Jan. 1. Receptive and expressive speech are really bad, and he can't write too legibly. My mother is wondering how on earth to take care of things - money in his name or both of their names, taxes, etc - anything he or both of them have to sign. Has anyone encountered this, and how have you dealt with it? Any specific web or other resources (i have web, mom does not). Thanks! She can easily get power of atorney, limited as they both agree or not limited, and this would be notorized. Copies can be sent to whoever is necessary...be sure it is filed with the county recorder and thye are set!
