My Aunt had a stroke about 5 years ago. She is in chronic constant pain & must take morphine for the pain. Her Dr. said the stroke damaged the brain & she is in a 4-6% group who is in terrible constant pain. He called it Thalymic pain syndrome. I am trying to find out if there is any research or anything else that she can do as it is impossible to have a real life other than taking these strong medications every few hours. If anyone knows anything that would help, please e-mail me.
Thanks,
Kaye
