The medical community will tell you that by the time you reach 6 mos to 1 year post-stroke, your recovery is finished. Here in Minneapolis, Sister Kenny Institute has been performing some new therapy on people who were up to 27 years (!!) post-stroke and saw some substantial improvement. They have now treated hundreds of people with stroke and other neurological injuries, and have seen great results.
