Does anyone feel like there is chewing gum in their mouth?

I ask this because I used to always feel like there was chewing gum in my mouth. I still kind of feel like it is there, but not as much as I used to. What's so weird is, that I can chew this "gum." Maybe it is because of that tube they had in my throat to breathe for me (that thing left an ugly scar on my neck; I hate it, and feel like I will always have to wear turtlenecks to hide it; but it is way too hot out here to do that).
