: I just read my email and AOL sent me an article about how excersize can reduce your risks of a stroke. It didn't decrease my risk and I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes everyday.
: If you have AOL you may want to put stroke in your News Profile, and they'll send you articles. I get an article just about everday and on some days I get more than one.
Pooky: I believe excercise can reduce your risk of stroke, heart attack, and help you to live longer. Like you I was active, lifting weights, riding bikes, playing all sports, and I still had a stroke. Now, I am no where near as active as I used to be. It's taken 3 months of going to the gym daily to get to where I can do 1 set of the lifts I want. I do the stairmaster for 5 minutes, and the excercise bike for 15 minutes daily. I can't seem to take off the 20-30 vpounds I've gained since having a stroke. But, at least since starting to excercise, and watching my diet I've not gained any more weight. Obesity runs in my family so I have to be really careful considering my lack of energy throughout the day.
