: This is not a joke. I had my stroke 11 months ago. I am a 28 year old male. I had the stroke at the age of 27. I have a beautiful wife. I have 2 gorgeous daughters 1 & 3 years old, my only reasons to continue on. I came out of my stroke (right brain left side paralysis) with a severely increased sex drive. I never said a word to any of my doctors out of embarrasment. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem. My wife is not interested in sex anymore. I'm thinking it was something chemically wrong in my brain caused by the stroke. It has now subsided after about 9 months past the stroke. I think I have it under control. I was an athlete before the stroke, and never had a hard time with the ladies. I have lost my self pride with the stroke, I used to lift weights with a bench press over 300 pounds. I was a collegiate track and field athlete. My sytroke was caused by a blood clot that formed on an artificial heart valve I received from a valve transplant when I was 21. I am now looking for work to support my young family. I just can't believe my wife has stuck through this. She could do so much better then an unemployed out of shape half paralyzed man. I have not found any support anywhere my friends have moved on without me. My parents recently went through a divorce (unrelated to my stroke. Life has really sucked, My stroke doctor only sees me once every three months. My therapists told me I'd be better off doing therapy on my own 6 months after my stroke. I have been making strides on my own in the gym. I couldn't even grip a bar 3 months ago, now I can bench press 135 pounds 10 times on the right day. I hope to gain strength back, it's just so frustrating. Please reply to my message it takes forever to type with 1 hand.
and i thought i was the only one who's sex drive increased. i was 42 when i had my stroke same side as yours same result (left side). my wife isn't interested either but she is still here. our kids are grown and gone even have 2 wonderful grandsons both are 3 years old not twins. half man yes i'm the same can she do better? maybe but she'll have to go back to work ya see my stroke was caused by an accident at work so i was compensated very nicely lets just say my settlement was the highest in the state that year it was 8 years ago now i'm 49 and still have that increased drive. if you want we can stay in touch wia email email@example.com.
