The best thing for a bed ridden stroke victim is to learn to use a computer. Obviously you know how to surf the web. Maybe you could show Jean how to search the web and posat messages on stroke victim sites. Maybe Jean has family with e-mail, you could help her e-mail a loved one. If she doesn't have family with e-mail then you could work on a web site with her. Just a suggestion.
: Hi! I'm a student volunteer at an elderly care center. Quite a few of the residents at the care center have suffered from a stroke, and one in particular, a sweet little lady named Jean. Before Jean was in the care center, she used to enjoy helping out her community. Now that she is bed-ridden she feels that she is wasting her time when she could be doing something useful. She has been asking me to come up with some activities for her that she could devote three to four hours a day to. She can only use one of her hands, and she stays in bed most of the time. Does anyone have any ideas for things that she could do? E-mails would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!!!
