: I would very much like to talk to anyone who has had experience with stroke support groups. My Mom had a stroke 7 months ago. I finally got her into a psychiatrist but now she has decided that she doesn't like her. Her stroke was on the right side of her brain and I understand that this is what is causing her to refuse to believe that she has any problems but she really needs to talk to somebody who can make her understand why she can't be alone. I have had a lot of trouble finding a group in our area (Portland Oregon), so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks so much for your help. Also, please feel free to e-mail me. Bren
