:I was just diagnoised with Bells Palsey today. I was given Prednisone and took the first dose
this afternoon. I went to the dr's last friday and thought I had the start of an ear infection. I was
told no. By Sunday my lips felt weird, like I after seeing the dentist. By today, (monday) my
left side of my face was "dead". I can not lift my left eyebrow, I can't smile on the left side.
My left feels strange. I was also given an order for PT, I go there on Wednesday, because
of the holiday. I was told they would put electrodes on my face to stimulate and this was
important in order to get my face back to normal. I was told it could last for a month.
They really don't know exactly what causes it. But it comes from a virus. I have heard,
stress can cause it as well. Until today, I have never heard of it!
