: I just read my email and AOL sent me an article about how excersize can reduce your risks of a stroke. It didn't decrease my risk and I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes everyday.

: If you have AOL you may want to put stroke in your News Profile, and they'll send you articles. I get an article just about everday and on some days I get more than one.
Exercise is the greatest thing for stroke victims. I try the gym 3 days a week. One exercise that helped recover my right arm back is this: get a piece of PVC pipe 24 to 30 inches long, lay on the floor, carpet or workout pad, if you can't hold on to the pipe there are special gloves to use. then with your good arm start rotating your arms, soon the other arm muscles will kick in, I know, I did it. place the hands fingers on top first, then the hard part fingers pointing up, the bad arm will hurt like @$#%^, but bear with it. Just be patient, cry a lot, but don't feel sorry for your self, at least you are on this side of the ground. God bless you all. Bob
