: I had a mini-stroke last month. My right side was completely paralized for 40 min then feeling began to return. The only remaining damage I notice is a numbness on the end of my tongue, very slight weakness on right side with balance problems, occasional reoccuring burning sensation in the right upper scalp area, and severe depression and problems with sleep. Does this sound normal?
When I had my stroke last year, my left side was paralyzed for four hours. I don't experience the things you do, except I do get a burning/tingling feling in my brain and I do have problems sleeping (I always wake up early in the morning). As for the other problems you are experiencing, they're probably because your stroke occured on the left side of your brain (it did, didn't it?; I am assuming this because you said that your right side was paralyzed, and from what I learned in Biology last year, or 2 years ago, the left side of your brain controls the right side of your body).
