I noticed the postings about people who suffered the effects of a cerebral aneurism. In 1996 I was rushed to hospital after suffering what I thought was the worst case of flu I had ever had
My first signs were vomiting followed by a severe headache. I awoke in hospital following surgery for a rupture. After several weeks of recovery, both at the hospital and while staying at my Mother's home. I was allowed to go home.
I went through physio therapy to learn how to walk again and attended a memory support group.
My injury was to my left frontal lobe, however, I was fortunate that the injury was not in the brain. Rather it was on the brain and the surgeons were able to clip the aneurism.
I have since resumed a normal life and give thanks on a daily basis for my recovery.
As an information researcher, trainer and public speaker I am beginning to dedicate much of my time to educating the public about cerebral aneurisms.
Although I realize that there is a wide range of outcomes from these problems, I wish all that have suffered this trauma the best fortune and healthy recovery.
I'm currenly setting up an information page about cerebral aneurisms at:
