I would strongly suggest you make an immediate appointment with your family physician in order to determine exactly what occurred with your mother. Better yet, take her to the emergency room at your local hospital right this minute.mother has possibly had a stroke; her bp dipped very low, because of other problems, and now she is sleeping constantly, and very difficult to awaken. When she is roused, she can respond with one or two words, or appropriate nods. While she is sleeping, she often yawns. No confusion is apparent. She had recently had a few doses of morphine because of colon pain, which was resolved. She is 85, diabetic, CHF. Any ideas would be very appreciated.
