Dear Andrew: My mom is making slow progress, she can now stay awake for a longer period of time at one visit, sometimes for over an hour. She can move a little bit more. I found out that it's important to stimulate her as much as possible. We play music for my mom with a tape recorder when we're not there. Also, we make her move her extremities when we're with her, that's very important so she doesn't get stiff. Find out if they are going to do bedside therapy, this is very important. Keep me updated on her progress, it's very hard to deal with but even if you see a little bit of progress that's great. Linda
