I almost died with my stroke - ended up with a functional body but an empty mind. I learned that life takes a whole lot of effort and energy and sometimes when we are wounded or tired or wounded and tired, it is hard to want to hold on, hold on, hold on. It has been a month since you posted this message so of course I have no idea the status of your mother today. But all I can say to you is to touch her. Touch her and stroke her hair and tell her you love her over and over, every day, and maybe just maybe, you will feel the power of your connection with her and support her desire to not hold on any more. When we are wounded we just need to be loved, good luck to you, Jill
