: Hello,I'm not sure how to start with this subject, but here goes, my concern is for my older brother he told me that he has mini strokes on the brain and there's nothing that the doctors can do for it and it will just get worse until he one day will not remember anyone or anything that goes on. I'm sure they is some truth to that but it would appear to me with all the technology today we should have a way to at least control the problem so it doesn't get any worse can someone help me to understand this sickness?

Hi Diane, I don't know much about TIA's or mini strokes, but I do know I had one just 4 days ago. My left leg and arm went partially numb and tingley. The C-scan and EKG, showed nothing on either of them. I will go in on the 17th for a Doppler test on my carodit arteries. That's the arteries in the front of your neck. Now if they tell me nothing can be done I will look for a second opinion. There is just too much technoligy in this day and age. My numbness has never completely gone away. I don't know if this is normal or not. I hope by now someone has given you some good advice that can help your brother. Good Luck Diane. Altha
