I'm sure they is some truth to that but it would appear to me with all the technology today we should have a way to at least control the problem so it doesn't get any worse can someone help me to understand this sickness? October 15, 2000 Hi Diane, I don't know much about TIA's or mini strokes, but I do know I had one just 4 days ago. My left leg and arm went partially numb and tingley. The C-scan and EKG, showed nothing on either of them. I will go in on the 17th for a Doppler test on my carodit arteries. That's the arteries in the front of your neck. Now if they tell me nothing can be done I will look for a second opinion. There is just too much technoligy in this day and age. My numbness has never completely gone away. I don't know if this is normal or not. I hope by now someone has given you some good advice that can help your brother. Good Luck Diane. Altha
