: My mother had a severe stroke two years ago and our family is thinking about having her treated at the Florida Neurological Institute in Clearwater. Does anyone have any experience with Dr. W. Hammesfahr and his use of vasodialator drugs? I'd love to hear about your experiences, good or bad. The literature from the institute claims that the treatment is effective for over 80 percent of their patients. We are hesitant to try this treatment without hearing more from former patients. I'd greatly appreciate your input!
Dear Joan: We find ourself in the very same situation as you. My husband had a stroke 5 years ago. I cannot seem to find any references on Dr. Hammesfahr. Have you had any luck yet? My husband is wanting to start the program, but I am afraid it will turn out to be to be a scam. Please reply if you have any more info than you had in August when you posted this. Thanks so much. DE
