: The other day, I was sitting at my dinner table. Everything seemed fine until this big spider came down on a web. That was when I started to worry about how I was going to get up from the table. The spider and his/her web was where I usually press my hand on the table to get up. So, I had to get up the old way, with just the aid of my feet. For the first time since my stroke in September, I was able to get up without pressing on the table. It felt so good to get up this way and I do it all the time now. Boy, do I feel a lot better, because of my fear of spiders, I was able to get up the old way. Does anyone else get up by pressing on things, and can anyone else get up the old way?
What a nice story! Thanks for sharing. It is this kind of thing I enjoy seeing on the boards...something that helped someone that may set off a chain reaction of improvement for all!
